Here is a short discussion of how to find people yourself, what we do to find people, and how you can hire us to locate someone.

The best way for a regular person to find someone is to contact friends, relatives, neighbors, and old employers. If that does not work, we recommend you hire a professional to find them. If you still want to do it yourself, start with the free or low cost searches available to the public are not very useful. These lists come from telephone records and do not include someone's date of birth, there is no reference to a prior address, there is no middle name or initial many times, and they only show the person whose name the phone is listed to. Furthermore, with the rampant prolifertion of telemarketing, many people choose not to have their phone listed at all. You will waste a lot of time pouring over these lists with not much to show for it. Don't despair, however, sometimes you can get lucky!

If you still want to try it yourself read these tips first. Be sure to look into sources for vital records (birth, marriage, divorce, death) as many of these records are available to the public at little or no cost, as are lists of professional licenses. Private Investigators and other search professionals belong to organizations like 800PeopleSearch.com where they can network together and access the best resources.

When you are ready to hire a professional to run your search, we are here to help. Here are the four main ingredients for insuring a successful search;

  1. full name including middle initial
  2. date of birth, even month and approximate year of birth
  3. social security number (if you have it!)
  4. an old address (past 10 years)
Believe it or not, an old address can be as good as having someone's social security number. As a practical matter, very few people have all 4, but the more you have, the better your chances will be.

The information that we pay (dearly, thousands of dollars!) to have access to has all of the things I mentioned above, and more. We have hundreds of documented cases and letters from people whose loved ones, missing for years, have been located by us literally in an hour. We also get a lot of customers who have used other companies and are dissatisfied, who then come to us.

We offer two types of searches. If you have a good amount of relevant information on who you are looking for, or you are on a budget, use our $49 deluxe search.
For the tougher cases, when you have less information, or the information is old, use our Verified Professional Search.

And by the way, remember those free searches I mentioned? Once we've located them we use the free search to look for a telephone number. In most cases, though, we have better luck just calling information!

These services are not available to the general public. We work predominantly with attorneys. If you are not an attorney, the reason for your search request must be consistent with the nature of your business.   2. NAME & ADDRESS SEARCH: This search will find the name and current address of the person that belongs to the SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER you provide. This can locate nearly anyone in the US, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Select This Report

  3. FIND A SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER: This search will find the individuals missing social security number from only a name and last know address SSN number will only be released to an attorney. Select This Report

  4. SUBJECT VERIFICATION SEARCH: This search will access a new address, verification of existing address, current occupant, nearest neighbor or verification that the address is a known valid address. Select This Report

  5. ADDRESS VERIFICATION SEARCH: This search will verify that the information is correct or the name and phone number of the current occupant living at that address. You also receive the type of dwelling the date of residence and the names, addresses, phone numbers of nearby neighbors, depending on your needs. Select This Report

  6. PHONE NUMBER SEARCH: This search can locate the name and address of the individual the phone number is listed to (enter "unknown" in name field). Select This Report

  7. SURNAME SEARCH: This search will help you find current address by using the persons last name. This search is very helpful for reunions, finding lost relatives etc. Give us the surname and we will match up to 25 full names with it. Select This Report

  8. DEATH RECORDS SEARCH: This search will help you find out if an individual is deceased, by using their name or social security number, state and/or date of birth. Select This Report
