MVR DRIVING RECORDS ORDER GUIDELINES 12/13/2005

You can obtain a copy of your driving records for free from the National Driver Registry in Washington, D.C. They get a copy usually if your license was revoked or suspended at one time. You have to send them a NOTARIZED application form. Their address is National Driver Register, 400 7th Street, SW., Room 6124 Washington, DC 20590-0001 (202) 366-4800 Apparently, there is a way for employers to use this resource as well at little or no cost.

The MVR reports we provide (not for free) show what is in someone's state file which is what most employers or insurance companies will request. A note on driving records research. Many researchers skimp and use old archived data. While this effort saves them money, you end up paying the price and may not see moving violations that have occurred in the past six months. We will only use information obtained directly from the motor vehicle departments current at the time requested.

Note, we do not provide this service for the general public, only for business customers with an account. If you are looking for your own driving records, contact your state motor vehicle department.

We require a signed consent form on all MVR requests, no exceptions.

Federal law requires employment applicant consent (see our Consent form) before his MVR records can be released. No exceptions, sorry. Cost for members is $20 or $30 for CT, MA, NJ, OK, PA, or RI.

To open a new membership with us, complete the sign-in registration form for new users, then fax in a compliance agreement.

Note: DMV records are obtained directly from the issuing agency and are subject to local & state laws. We adhere state laws restricting access to the Subject's physical address, and therefore a physical address may be omitted from your report. Three years of driving history will be obtained. Recent rules prohibit us from transmitting these reports over the Internet, they will be faxed to you. Please provide both a phone and fax #.

The following is a list of state DMV department locations, followed by the required format for drivers license numbers when processing MVR requests. If the drivers license number does not match the format shown here, please check the actual drivers license itself. It's always best if you fax along a photocopy of the actual license itself.
